Gardening makes me happy.

I was walking around the garden the other day and taking a look at all of my know, to make sure they had not died from winter, and I stumbled across this gorgeous plant.  I remember planting it last spring but I have no idea what it's called.  But to my surprise, under a pile of dried leaves was this little bundle of flowers.  So beautiful.  This is one of the reasons I love to garden.  Every year something new seems to catch my eye.  I love that within a few days something new is in bloom!  What a joy it is to get my hands in the dirt and plant something from seed that turns into something special.

Allie, the flower is a hellebore or Lenten rose. It's one of the first flowers, other than bulbs, to bloom. I'm glad you enjoy gardening!
